OL pushed to equalize but Brice Samba repelled an attempt from Tagliafico 10 minutes from time. In the 90th minute, Florian Sotoca was sent off for a big foul on Tagliafico, leaving his partners at 10 for stoppage time.
Despite an end to the match largely dominated by Lyon, it was the Lensois who offered themselves a valuable victory in the race for European places at the end of a meeting full of twists and turns. Franck Haise’s men temporarily move up to 6th place while OL still haven’t got off the bottom of the standings.
