While it was to be played last summer in Thailand due to the defection of organizer Fresh Air Festiva, the 2023 Champions Trophy, scheduled between Paris Saint-Germain and Toulouse FC, was ultimately postponed to the start of the year 2024, the time to find a new stadium which could host this competition in a single match between the reigning French champion and the winner of the last Coupe de France.
It is now done and made official by the League: the 28th edition of the TdC will take place on January 3, 2024 – during the winter break – at the Parc des Princes, usual home of the capital club. However, the LFP being the organizer of the match, the club led by Luis Enrique will have no advantage, the Paris region stadium of Porte Saint-Cloud being considered neutral ground for the two teams.
