The current Champions League season will reveal the 12 European qualifiers for the 32-team 2025 Club World Cup. PSG is guaranteed to be part of it.

In case you missed it, Gianni Infantino’s FIFA has officially scheduled its first-ever 32-team Club World Cup for June and July 2025 in the United States, a year before the World Cup in North America. No less than 12 European teams will compete in the competition against the best teams from other continents and it is the results in the Champions League over the period 2020-2024 which determine them.

We will know the 12 European clubs on June 1 at the end of the C1 final, with the last four champions (Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City are therefore already qualified) and the eight other best European teams out of the four recent seasons (with a limit of two clubs maximum per country). In this little game, Bayern, Inter Milan and PSG have obtained the assurance of being part of the big party of 2025 thanks to their respective results this week.

Barring a huge surprise (like the coronation of Atlético de Madrid, Leipzig or Napoli), we know the identity of the other European participants: Borussia Dortmund, FC Porto, Barça (which must still have a better run as Atlético), Juventus (which is not playing in the LDC this season but which is ahead of Napoli) and Benfica (which benefits from the non-participation of Ajax in the C1 and the elimination of Salzburg).
