The two Spanish clubs secured their place in the round of 16 of the Champions League.

FC Barcelona ensured its qualification for the round of 16 of the Champions League by beating FC Porto (2-1) this Tuesday evening. The Catalans were however trailing after Pepê’s goal (30th), but Joao Cancelo (32nd) quickly equalized and Joao Félix gave his team the victory (57th) in the second half. With 12 points out of 15 possible before moving to Antwerp, Barça is almost certain to finish at the top of their group.

It also goes for Atlético de Madrid, who won in Rotterdam against Feyenoord (1-3). The Colchoneros benefited from two CSCs, signed Geertruida (14th) and Gimenez (81st), while scoring a spectacular goal by Hermoso (57th). Wieffer had given hope to the Dutch (77th), in vain. This result also qualifies Lazio, victorious a little earlier over Celtic (2-0). First place will be decided between the two clubs, and Atlético will only need a draw at their stadium to stay ahead of Lazio.
