Rothen denounces Grosso, it goes very far

Jérôme Rothen once again unleashed himself on the Fabio Grosso case this Monday in the show “Rothen s’igname” on RMC

Jérôme Rothen reveals his thoughts. And for him, Lyon coach Fabio Grosso brings nothing to his team and fails to inspire his men.

The players, you don’t feel united behind their coach, otherwise you don’t show such attitudes at times. We see them physically amorphous, technically amorphous… There is nothing in this team. »

“The club is very, very sick”

For Rothen, the Rhone coach is not helping his men in the tactical slump in which they currently find themselves.

“Obviously, the players are on the front line, and it’s up to them to take charge. When you have the low level of classification of L1, or even L2, it’s complicated to transplant feet or a brain to go faster and see more quickly. That’s the first thing. But then there’s what the coach says,” Jérôme Rothen criticized again. “You watch the match, even if you don’t know football very well, you say to yourself ‘why, every time things don’t go well, at half-time he changes three players?’. And then he changes tactics in the second half, when that’s where they create the most chances. I don’t see why he’s going to change tactically at that point. There is nothing. »

“I find him missing the point in his press conferences. He talks to us about watching the teams in the soft stomach, but already look at the teams fighting with you to maintain. Frankly, you’re at the bottom of the abyss, the club is very, very sick. »

Rothen further believes that Grosso has not made any good choices since his arrival. “For a coach who has been there for about two months, who has done so many tests… You have no basis. All the players who can offer you certainty through their experience, you have alienated them by putting them in competition with Ligue 2 players”.

Still last in Ligue 1, Les Gones are worrying. Their trainer too…
