Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had a message to send to his team’s supporters this weekend.
Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola attacked the crowd at the Etihad Stadium after the 1-1 draw against Liverpool this Saturday.
Guardiola calls for more support from fans
Guardiola believes that Manchester City fans were too calm during this meeting scheduled for early in the afternoon. “It’s 12:30 p.m., we were still in the sheets. I wish there had been more noise. But, that wasn’t the case.”
The Catalan boss went on to suggest that Sky Blues fans are stuffed with success and perhaps that is why they are not as vocal as in the past. “You know how I feel when there’s no support? We have to play better. We need to create more opportunities and get the public to follow us. We need them. All these years, in important moments, we have done it together and we need it. Because these guys deserve it.”
If the Eastlands supporters are no longer too hungry, Guardiola assures that the players remain very ambitious. “No, they are not full. They’re not saying, “Oh guys, we won the treble.” But they always want to win and that’s the best thing.”
