Cristiano Ronaldo sent Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior a surprise gift after Portugal’s victory over Liechtenstein.

The Brazilian striker has always shown his admiration for Ronaldo and even regretted not having had the opportunity to play with the Portuguese at Real Madrid. Over the years, the two brilliant attackers have developed very strong bonds of friendship. Today, Ronaldo sent his Portugal-Liechtenstein match jersey to the current Madrid number 7.

Ronaldo’s gesture comes after Vinicius imitated the famous ‘Calma’ celebration, which made the Portuguese famous during his visit to the Spanish capital, after scoring against Valencia in the 5-1 rout of Real Madrid on 12 november. Bernabeu fans were delighted to see Vinicius recreate their legend’s iconic celebration and shouted “Vinicius Junior, lolololo!” » to greet their young attacker.

Vinicius has a special place in his house, which he calls the “Wall of Icons”, where some of the greatest legendary athletes of all time are celebrated. This is a special mural, painted by Spanish artist René Makela, and Ronaldo is one of the sportsmen featured on the wall alongside Brazilian icons Pelé and Ronaldo Nazario.

Vinicius is currently suffering from a muscle injury and missed Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Cadiz. As for Ronaldo, he will be back against Persepolis in the AFC Champions League.
