The young Italian prodigy became the youngest player to play in Serie A on Saturday.

He may be the future superstar of Italian football. At 15 years and 261 days old, Francesco Camarda became the youngest player to make his Serie A debut on Saturday.

This prodigy has scored goals in all youth categories at AC Milan, and he particularly hurt Paris Saint-Germain this season in the Youth League. While the Rossoneri were notably deprived of Rafael Leao (injured) and Olivier Giroud, Stefano Pioli called on the phenomenon for the match against Fiorentina (1-0) on Saturday evening. In the 82nd minute, the long-awaited moment arrived. Camarda replaced Luka Jovic, to the ovation of San Siro, happy to welcome this new gem.

Pioli is happy with his young striker’s debut, but he reminds that it is only the very beginning of the road for him. “Francesco has talent, freshness, and also mentality. For him, this evening was an exciting and enriching experience. Now he must make his journey, taking small steps, with the attitude he has: humble, voluntary and that is why he is appreciated by everyone. I’m sure he won’t feel like he’s arrived after today’s game because he’s a smart boy.”explained the Milanese coach.
