At the end of a spectacular Premier League meeting this Saturday between Manchester City and Liverpool (1-1), frustration spread to both camps. At the final whistle, Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez refused to shake Pep Guardiola’s hand. A gesture which logically made the Spanish technician, held back by his staff, come off his hinges. Present at a press conference a few moments later, the Manchester City coach was asked to react.
“Nothing happened. He (Darwin Nunez) is just stronger than me, replied the Spaniard, visibly annoyed. Look, no, it’s not frustration. I am really happy. I had five questions after the match and each time it was about this situation. So I repeat, there was nothing with Nunez.”
