Antoine Griezmann wants to leave Atletico Madrid as a club legend in the coming years.
Since the start of the 2023/24 season, Griezmann has been a crucial player for Diego Simeone’s side with 12 goals scored in La Liga and the Champions League.
The France international has already admitted he is fighting to regain the love and trust of Atlético fans following his controversial return from FC Barcelona.
The 32-year-old has used his experience and skills to lead Atlético this season, with a total of 169 club goals, the record being held by Luis Aragones (173).
In an exclusive interview with MarcaGriezmann said he wants to win a title this season and ensure he remains in the affections of Rojiblancos fans in the long term.
“I am motivated to become someone important at Atlético, to be a legend at this club. I know I have to deserve it”did he declare.
“ I feel like I have rediscovered the connection with the supporters.
“I have a lot of goals for this year, but I want to win La Liga, I need it. »

Atlético’s two titles under Simeone were won by Griezmann during his two spells in Madrid, while playing at Real Sociedad and FC Barcelona.
