Top scorer in Ligue 1, Kylian Mbappé scored his 14th goal in the championship during the visit of AS Monaco, on behalf of the 13th day, a first for a French player since 1971.

While the Parc des Princes celebrated the 50th anniversary of PSG’s first match in the Porte de Saint-Cloud stadium, before the kick-off of the match against AS Monaco, Friday evening, Kylian Mbappé beat a 52 year old record.

From the penalty spot (38th), after a foul on Ousmane Dembélé, Mbappé became the first French player to score 14 goals in 13 days in the French championship since Jacky Vergnes during the 1971-1972 season. This French international then played for Nîmes Olympique.

Mbappé was captain of the Parisians against his training club in the absence of Marquinhos, who was injured.
