The young Olympique Lyonnais defender was questioned on Friday about the controversy surrounding the match which should have been held in Marseille on October 29, 2023.

The violence committed on October 29 in Marseille continues to be talked about. And we cannot be surprised given the seriousness of the attack on Olympique Lyonnais coaches who came to play a match on the 10th day of Ligue 1 at the Vélodrome stadium.

OM-OL could not be played and we still do not know the rescheduling date or the location. The FFF appeals committee, meeting on Tuesday November 21, postponed its decision until December 6.

The Federation had been contacted by the leaders of OL. They are contesting the postponement of the match to… December 6, in Marseille, decided by the Professional Football League (LFP). The risk of not playing safely in the Marseille city constitutes the main reason for OL’s appeal.

The LFP had not sanctioned OM for stoning the coaches. The regulations exempt a club if incidents take place outside the stadium.

Yes, it bothers us to return to Marseille in the same conditions. There was no sanction. We leave as if nothing had happeneddeclared Saël Kumbedi at a press conference on Friday, quoted by the club’s website. We’re professionals, so we’re going to go. »

The young Lyon defender, 18, and his teammates will welcome Losc on Sunday evening (13th day of Ligue 1).
