During a press conference this Friday, Hervé Renard commented on Amandine Henry’s choice to return to play in France, for Lille.
Hervé Renard was present this Friday at a press conference to unveil his list of players selected to face Austria (December 1) then Portugal (December 5), as part of the Nations League. A list which includes Amandine Henry, freshly loaned to Losc until the end of February, who still belongs to Angel City FC and who wants to keep in shape during the American off-season.
Asked to react on the subject, Hervé Renard fully approved the choice made by the ex-Lyonnaise. “ I think it was much better for her and for us that she played in Europe. There were destinations that could be a little scary, like Australia. It’s a good thing for her and for Losc. We wish her the best possible success with this Lille team, may she stay in good shape”confided the former Saudi Arabia coach.
“I think it’s a very good choice”
And to add: “She has been training with her new club for some time and that is the most important thing for me, and for us. Afterwards, she was the one who chose the club because of the location. She is closer to her family. I think it’s a very good choice. » A choice which allows her, in fact, to retain her place within this French women’s team.
