Very often criticized throughout his career, Olivier Giroud commands respect. Top scorer in the history of the French team, the native of Chambéry is also in resplendent form with AC Milan. Even though he will be suspended for the next two Serie A matches, the 37-year-old striker has 8 goals and 3 assists in 15 matches with the Rossoneri this season. Obviously, as long as everything is going well between the former Gunner and the current third in Serie A, there is a good chance of seeing the two parties continue their collaboration even if Giroud’s contract expires next June.

Questioned by the Sunday Newspaper on the possibility of seeing him extended in Milan, the Chelsea defector expressed his desire to continue in Lombardy: “I would like to stay. My contract expires next June, but I haven’t spoken to the club yet. I want to continue and I think I have what it takes to do so. I can still be useful to this team. I was already a fan of the great Milan in the 2000s. For me, it was a blessing to join this club. I would like to stay. I want to earn the second star.» The Milanese management has been warned.
