Carlo Ancelotti’s future has been the subject of much speculation during 2023.
The Italian, whose contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the season, has been heavily linked with the Brazil manager’s job, so much so that it was taken for granted that he would head to South America in the coming weeks.
However, recent reports have indicated that Real Madrid are ready to offer Ancelotti a two-year contract extension, which would take him until the end of the 2025-26 season. Whether that’s the case or not doesn’t matter for now, as Fabrizio Romano told CaughtOffside that Ancelotti has yet to decide on his future.
“I have no new information on Ancelotti’s future – no changes for the manager, no concrete developments with Real Madrid or the Brazilian national team”Romano said.
“Ancelotti will decide his future later and, for now, he is focused on the present and helping Real Madrid for the second half of the season. We’ll see when things change, but for now there’s nothing substantial either way. »
There is no doubt that Ancelotti has enjoyed a very successful second spell in charge of Real Madrid, and so it makes sense that the club would attempt to extend his stay.
