Serbia's historic qualification

Serbia validated its ticket for Euro 2024 this Sunday.

Although held in check at home by a pugnacious Bulgaria (2-2), Serbia won its ticket for Germany next summer.

At the same time, Montenegro lost to the Hungarian leader (3-1), thus missing the opportunity to steal second qualifying place from the Serbs.

Three times qualified for the World Cup – for as many eliminations during the group stage, in 2010, 2018 and 2022 – Serbia has never yet taken part in a European Nations Championship.
