Having become a substitute at Real Madrid, Luka Modric would like to join Saudi Arabia during the 2024 summer transfer window.
The 2023 summer transfer window was marked by the numerous transfers of major European players to Saudi Arabia. Among them, we notably found the outgoing Ballon d’Or Karim Benzemawho joined Cristiano Ronaldo, winner five times, in the Saudi pro League. The two former Real Madrid stars could soon be joined by one of their former teammates and also Ballon d’Or winners, Luka Modric (in 2018).
🚨 Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli have both started talks with Luka Modrić’s entourage about a potential move to Saudi Arabia.

According to information from Sport, the Croatian international would indeed like to leave the White House, which he joined in 2012, and commit to Saudi Arabia next summer. At 38, the 2018 world vice-champion has only been started six times by Carlo Ancelotti this season and is now an understudy due to the emergence of the Merengues’ young midfielders. Al Ittihad, club of Benzema, and Al-Ahli, club of Riyad Mahrez and Roberto Firmino, would be interested in a possible arrival of Modric, whose contract expires at the end of the current season.
