Real Madrid have announced the injury to Eduardo Camavinga, who suffers from a rupture of the external lateral ligament in his right knee. His absence will be counted in weeks.
This is the bad news from this gathering for the France team, and especially for Real Madrid. Eduardo Camavinga injured his knee on Wednesday during training, and the news is not very good regarding the former Stade Rennais player.
“After the examinations carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services on our player Eduardo Camavinga, he was diagnosed with a rupture of the external lateral ligament of the right knee”indicates the Spanish club this Friday in a press release.
The verdict is therefore a little more serious than expected for Camavinga, for whom we initially mentioned a simple sprain, and an absence of around a month. Finally, it seems clear that the French international will not play again this year. According to the Spanish press, it is now an absence of eight to ten weeks that is feared for the Merengues midfielder, which could allow Carlo Ancelotti to find his handyman around the month of February.
This is the first major injury of Camavinga’s career, who had never been absent for more than three weeks until now.
