Today, Marcus Thuram (26 years old) plays in the big leagues. He plays for Inter and was vice-world champion with the French team. When younger, the attacker mainly followed in the footsteps of his father Lilian. And when the latter played at FC Barcelona (2006-2008), little Marcus had a funny experience which still marks him.
“At the age of 10, I went to see my father training at Barça and I didn’t have my crampons with me. Messi was young and after training, I wanted to go on the pitch with the other kids to play and Leo was almost the same size as me: I wore 38 and he 40-41. He left me his shoes, I played, then he said ‘keep them’. At 10 years old, I didn’t realize what had just happened, and the next day I gave them to a friend. I regret it every day”he confided to DAZN.
