Former Parisian Alessandro Florenzi also finds himself in the crosshairs of Italian justice.

Passed by PSG during the 2020-2021 season in the form of a loan, Alessandro Florenzi, now an AC Milan player, is the subject of an investigation into possible involvement in the betting scandal and illegal online games that are shaking up transalpine football.

While he is due to be heard soon by the Turin prosecutor, according to the Italian press, the Italian Football Federation has decided not to open proceedings against him. “There are no ongoing proceedings on our side, as there is currently no information or evidence on betting on football matches”the FIGC explained to AFP.

It must be said that the case of the former Parisian is similar to that of Nicolo Zaniolo, who admitted to having used these illegal platforms for poker and blackjack games, but never for football matches. Unlike Sandro Tonali (Newcastle) and Nicolo Fagioli (Juventus Turin), who received a suspension of ten and seven months respectively.
