The clash of the first day of the group stage between Chelsea and Real Madrid was marked by a major refereeing controversy.

It is obviously not only among the men that Real Madrid can benefit from arbitration decisions in its favor. This is evidenced by the match between the Merengue club and Chelsea, Wednesday, on the occasion of the 1time day of the group stage of the Women’s Champions League.

While the Blues were leading 2-1 and seemed to be heading towards a prestigious success, the referee of the match awarded a penalty to the Madrilenians following a foul by Jessie Fleming on Athenea des Castillo clearly committed outside the area.

Olga Carmona was quick to equalize and while Chelsea finally thought they had snatched victory in the final moments of the match, the goal scored by Charles was canceled for an offside that was anything but obvious.
