A major French club is preparing to make a big move official in the coming hours.
While her name kept coming back to Paris Saint-Germain a few months ago, Amandine Henry finally opted for Lille. According to information from the daily Le Progrès, the French midfielder will arrive in the North of France to freelance for a few months.
Amandine Henry was in good contact with Paris Saint-Germain, but LOSC reaped her favors at this stage of her career. The French international, who has 96 caps with the French women’s team, was looking for a club to remain competitive during the North American championship break.
Henry has a clear goal
Henry joined Angel City FC, on the other side of the Atlantic, last summer. The midfielder took the plunge by leaving Olympique Lyonnais, of which she was an emblematic face, for an exotic adventure in the powerful American league.
Le Progrès specifies that Amandine’s desire to get closer to her family greatly conditioned her choice. The player, who has returned to the landscape of the French team since the arrival of Hervé Renard in place of Corinne Diacre, also wishes to be in ideal conditions to prepare for the Paris Olympic Games, which constitute her great ambition for the year 2024.
