Ligue 1 is suffering from a cruel lack of goals this season. Jean-Pierre Pain points the finger at the attackers.
During the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the National Football Institute in Clairefontaine, Jean-Pierre Papin was asked about the low goal output in Ligue 1 this season. As an advisor to the president of Olympique de Marseille Pablo Longoria, he felt that the French championship’s attackers were simply “not working enough”. For Papin, intensive work is a sine qua non condition for being a good striker, and the observation applies to all clubs, including OM.
