“Clown, purge”, Dugarry will make enemies again

Christophe Dugarry had very little taste of the 12th day of Ligue 1 and did not fail to emphasize it.

Christophe Dugarry almost gave in to the arm of Morphée during the twelfth day of Ligue 1. Between Montpellier-Nice on Friday (0-0) and Lens-OM on Sunday evening (1-0), the 1998 world champion asserts that he almost fell asleep in front of Ligue 1 in Rothen ignites this Monday on RMC.

“We must open our eyes” Duga mocked. “ If someone explains to me that Ligue 1 is good, I would like to see some matches. The Lens-OM on Sunday evening (1-0) was just cataclysmic. It was an absolute purge. I also had Le Havre-Monaco (0-0), horrible. I saw Montpellier-Nice (0-0), I think they could have played four and a half hours, they would never have scored a goal. They looked into each other’s eyes. We wondered if they were going to end up making love, a little stolen kiss or something, no nothing at all. It was just horrible. »

“We talked so much about intensity, and in fact, in certain matches, I saw it. Not much eh, during Reims-PSG for example (0-3). But everything else lacked intensity and quality. I look at our championship and the team compositions, it’s been going on for several years, we are more than ever a championship of second knives. With players who are second knives. Apart from the chance to have Kylian Mbappé and some great internationals at Paris Saint-Germain, all the other experienced players are expected to play at one point or another in a slightly tougher championship and teams. »

“If there is a clown willing to pay a billion euros…”

Dugarry did not wear gloves when discussing the OL match: “ It’s an absolute purge. When I watched Rennes-Lyon (0-1), it was horrible. In Lyon, my friend Cherki, his match was an absolute shame. I’ve never seen a boy walk so much. Not a sprint, not a change of speed, nothing. It was a purge. Nothing happens. So we brought three Italian coaches (Gennaro Gattuso to OM, Fabio Grosso to OM and Francesco Farioli to Nice). They have never shone with their offensive play. I hope that will change. I say to myself why not. We have a Spanish coach at Paris Saint-Germain (Luis Enrique), who arrives with lots of good intentions and good ideas. For the moment, I don’t see collective play either. It is saved by individuals. Rennes, there is the squad for it, but we must recognize that for the moment, it is not working and that Genesio cannot find the right formula. »

“There are a lot of coaches who have no right to complain because the squads are correct to be able to offer another type of football. Our championship demonstrates certain limits, financial, technical… But I think that there is still a way to do much better with enthusiasm, with desire. We have young players who are capable of showing something else. Are these the coaches’ instructions? I do not know. I don’t even dare imagine it for a single second… (…) The guy who decided to sell Ligue 1 for a billion euros, he’s severely burned out. If there is a clown willing to pay a billion euros to watch these purges, weekend after weekend, I can’t believe it. My arms are falling! »
