Former AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has named who is better between Gianluigi Donnarumma and Mike Maignan.
Former AC Milan center forward Mario Balotelli believes Gigio Donnarumma is a better goalkeeper than Mike Maignan, his successor at the Rossonerri.
“Donnarumma more talented than Maignan”
Balotelli likes Maignan, but insists PSG goalkeeper Donnarumma, ex Rossonerro, is more talented. He told TVPlay: “Maignan is always attentive, he always wants to play quickly. It is unique because of that. But I like Gigio, I played with him and I know him, so if I had to choose between the two, I would definitely take Donnarumma.”
Donnarumma is a little less unanimous than a few months ago because of his blunders and his bad footwork. “Super Mario” still blindly believes in himself and his ability to bounce back. “I hope he takes Italy to the Euros and proves to those who tease him that he is a very good goalkeeper.”
Balotelli must not have changed his mind about the PSG goalkeeper if he was in front of his TV set on Saturday evening to watch the French champions’ match against Reims (3-0). Donnarumma was heroic there, notably making half a dozen saves.
