Real Madrid remain open to a move in 2024 to sign Manchester City goal-scoring machine Erling Haaland.

The Whites were tracking the Norwegian star ahead of his move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester in 2021, but have not made a formal offer.

At the time, Madrilenians believed Haaland was destined to join the Premier League champions and he is already a central part of Pep Guardiola’s treble-winning side.

However, Real Madrid are still considering exercising their €200 million release clause in 2024, as uncertainty grows over their plans to recruit Kylian Mbappé.

Kylian Mbappé’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June, and although Real Madrid have moved closer to their number one target, other reports claim he is ready to abandon negotiations.

According to the latest reports from Diario AS, Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has insisted that she wants to ensure that her client remains in control of his destiny, but insisted that a recent trip to Madrid had nothing to do with Haaland.
