Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed Gerard Piqué’s comments about his team, saying the former FC Barcelona defender is not connected to reality.
On Tuesday morning, Gerard Piqué told Catalan radio that Real Madrid’s latest Champions League victory in 2022 will not be remembered for long, despite the Whites’ repeated exploits. His argument is that they were no better than their opponents throughout the knockout matches, while FC Barcelona’s victories will be remembered for the way they played.
“ Piqué lives in his world, which is not that of Real Madrid. I can assure you that there is not a single Real Madrid supporter who can forget the fourteenth match. It will be a Champions League that we will remember for the rest of our lives“, replied Ancelotti, as reported by Cadena Cope.
It is certain that Pique will receive plenty of criticism for his comments, and much more heated than Ancelotti’s response.
