Luis Diaz and his loved ones can breathe. The father of the Colombian Liverpool striker has been released.

After twelve days of captivity, Luis Manuel Diaz found his freedom, we learned Thursday. The father ofColombian striker from Liverpool, starts early in the evening in Toulouse in the Europa League, had been kidnapped, in the company of his wifeby armed men on motorcycles at a gas station in their hometown.

The ELN, the last recognized guerrilla group in Colombia and responsible for the kidnapping of Luis Manuel Diaz, handed over its prisoner to a humanitarian mission.

“ We are delighted with the news of the safe return of the father of @LuisFDiaz19 and we thank everyone who contributed to his release”reacted the Liverpool club.
