Last season, the Mestalla stadium in Valencia witnessed sad scenes of racism against Vinicius Junior. Since then, Valencia has tried, by all means, to free itself from this label that was stuck to it. As Relevo indicates, the club’s leaders even went so far as to write a letter to the 500 supporters who will travel to Madrid this weekend, for the reunion between the two clubs.
A letter in which the general staff of the Mediterranean club asks fans not to fall into certain provocations, and above all, to prove that the Valencia public is not racist and is exemplary. In this same document sent to fans, it is clearly specified that there will be cameras everywhere and that the slightest inappropriate gesture will be punished. The message got through.
