Liverpool would be interested in Florian Wirtz (22 years old), author of a very good start to the season with Bayer Leverkusen.
Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen never ceases to impress. Still leader of the Bundesliga after beating Hoffenheim, the North Rhine club has an impressive record of nine wins and one draw in the league, and has still not lost this season with three wins in as many matches in the Europa League as well than qualification for the German Cup.
Wirtz shines again
the Leverkusen collective shines, but so do its individualities. In addition to prolific Nigerian scorer Victor Boniface (10 goals in 14 matches) and pistons Alejandro Grimaldo and Jeremie Frimpong, attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz returned to the forefront after a cruciate ligament rupture which kept him away from the field for several months. Author of 6 goals and 9 assists this season, the 22-year-old player shines and catches the eye of the biggest European clubs.
🚨 Liverpool have entered the race for Florian Wirtz but will face competition from Chelsea and Bayern Munich for the Bayer Leverkusen winger.

Among which is Liverpool. If we believe the Daily Star this Monday, the young German international would have been the new target of the Reds, who are added to a long list of big clubs wishing (Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United…) to offer themselves the prodigy of the Mannschaft, under contract until 2027 with Leverkusen.
