Marcus Rashford failed to join his Manchester United teammates for a celebratory meal after suffering the wrath of Erik ten Hag last weekend.
United players celebrated their last-minute victory over Fulham by dining at exclusive Manchester restaurant MNKY on Saturday evening. Rashford, who did not play at Craven Cottage after failing a late match fitness test, did not join the likes of Mason Mount, Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes.
Rashford may have decided to keep a low profile. Last weekend, he irritated coach Ten Hag by celebrating his 26th birthday in a nightclub the day before training, hours after Manchester City’s humiliating 3-0 home defeat. Regarding this incident, the manager said: “ I talked about it with him. This is unacceptable. He apologized and that’s it. For us, it’s an internal matter.”
Rashford missed the win against Fulham after injuring his leg in training. It is unclear whether he will be fit for United’s trip to Copenhagen in the Champions League on Wednesday.
