Thanks to Bruno Fernandes’ late goal, Manchester United managed to win on Saturday at Fulham (0-1, 11th day of the Premier League).

It was just a few minutes before Manchester United had a third match in a row without success, in all competitions. Traveling this Saturday towards Fulham, Erik ten Hag’s men stumbled against the London defense for a long time before Bruno Fernandes took advantage of an opposing mix-up to offer a precious success to the Red Devils (0-1). In the provisional ranking, United moved up to sixth place, four points behind Europe. Fulham remains fourteenth.

However, things seemed to have started relatively easily for the visitors who thought they had found the fault in the eighth minute of play, but the VAR indicated that Scott McTominay’s goal was disallowed for offside. In a rather balanced encounter, Fulham however failed to get the better of the Mancunians without the slightest shot on target against them in the first half.

It’s good for morale

The second half changed nothing. At least until these famous stoppages in play. After a huge London mix-up, the ball came back twice to Bruno Fernandes who tried his luck on his second recovery. Wise choice since the Portuguese found the fault (90th+1). This first victory since October 24 should be good for the mentality of Manchester United who will play on Wednesday in Copenhagen, in a Champions League group match.
