Kylian Mbappé’s contract extension with PSG would still be on the agenda.

This is news that should reassure PSG fans. While several reports emanating from Spain suggested this week that Kylian Mbappé’s stay at PSG was coming to an end, it seems that there is still a possibility for the Bondyn crack star to sign a contract extension with the club where it has been evolving since 2017.

PSG will go on the attack in 2024

According to information from the Team, negotiations are not broken between the French international and the Parisian board. There has been “no significant progress” in this matter, but that does not mean that the player has made a departure. The former Monegasque has not yet made any decision regarding his future.

For now, both camps are playing for time and focusing on the field. However, things could accelerate at the start of the first quarter of 2024. An outcome like that of 2022 cannot be ruled out. Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s intervention could be crucial. The Qatari leader always knew how to find the right words to seduce Mbappé, even when the dialogue seemed broken. He could therefore once again use his charm to convince his star to bet on stability.

Real is not the only one on Mbappé

The scenario which would see Mbappé move on to other lands of course also remains possible. For the moment, however, no club has clearly positioned itself to welcome him into its squad. Real waits until the last moment to advance their pawns, convinced that the player will eventually give in to their sirens. The Merengue decision-makers, however, are playing a dangerous game and may well regret it. They wouldn’t be the only ones out there. Liverpool and their coach Jurgen Klopp also dream of the French striker.

On the Paris side, we remain calm. We also assure that even in the event of separation, the club would no longer lose. The agreement reached with the player last August would make it possible to financially compensate for a possible transfer. But, obviously, the hope remains to continue together and when the time comes we will try to make it bear fruit.
