Real Madrid have activated samba mode. Having two immense talents on its left and right wings with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes, the Merengue club has already extended the latter until June 2027. A new lease and a nice upgrade for the former Flamengo player which was well deserved. The latter having gained a lot of weight in the Casa Blanca attack, participating in particular in the conquest of the 2022 Champions League.
Rodrygo Goes was also not left out in his last years and his lease ended in June 2025. Taking the lead, Real Madrid decided to offer him a new contract revised upwards as well as an extension of three years. The objective is also to increase his release clause to one billion euros.
Extension until June 2028
Casa Blanca welcomed the extension of the former Santos player in a press release: “Real Madrid CF and Rodrygo have agreed to extend the player’s contract, who remains linked to the club until June 30, 2028. Rodrygo arrived at Real Madrid in 2019, when he was just 18 years old. He made his debut with Real Madrid Castilla on September 14 and on September 25 he scored his first goal in his official debut with Real Madrid. During his five seasons in the first team jersey, he played 179 matches, during which he scored 39 goals and won 8 titles: 1 Champions League, 1 Club World Cup, 1 European Super Cup, 2 Leagues, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Spanish Super Cups.”
Arriving in 2019 at Real Madrid for a check for 45 million euros, Rodrygo Goes took time to assert himself, but last season, he burst onto the scene with 19 goals and 11 goals in 57 matches. More in difficulty this season with 2 goals and 1 assist in 14 matches, Rodrygo Goes remains one of the strong men of the Merengues.
