Olympique Lyonnais will sign a young midfielder from PSG in the coming hours. Mahamadou Diawara, 18, will sign his first professional contract in Lyon. A success signed Vincent Ponsot.

OL is a reference in terms of training in France. The very good players who have come out of his academy are countless, but sometimes the Lyonnais also have to steal a few elements from the competitors to complete their squad. Nothing better than PSG to do that. The Ile-de-France pool is very rich and the young titis rarely have the opportunity to show the tip of their nose with the first team. This is the case of Mahamadou Diawara, a young 18-year-old Parisian midfielder. Member of PSG u19, recent finalist in the French championship, the young player will leave the Parisian club to sign for OL in the coming hours.

Diawara, young OL recruit at 270,000 euros

This is revealed by the newspaper L’Equipe this Friday evening. Diawara’s horizon at PSG was blocked, the Parisian club only offering him a trainee contract for next season. Not enough to satisfy the young man and his entourage, who gave in to the sirens of OL. Les Gones quickly positioned themselves on Diawara in a file led by Vincent Ponsot in person. The Lyonnais worked well on their subject since the competition was important for Mahamadou Diawara with also PSV, Frankfurt, Benfica and even OM.

A good blow for OL while PSG will have tried until the end to keep him in the capital. Finally, the intention of the Lyonnais to make him a place in the pro group of Laurent Blanc from next season will have been enough to make the difference. In Paris, this would not have been the case especially since the PSG, internally, considers itself sufficiently well armed in this sector at the level of its young people. A bet on the future of OL at a lower cost. When Lyon will have to pay training allowances to PSG. A sum of 270,000 euros, very low for OL and PSG if the player meets expectations in the near future.
