Real Madrid are confident in their ability to complete a transfer for Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies, according to reports from Spain.
As Los Blancos look forward to welcoming Kylian Mbappe from PSG, Davies is the player who is their ‘most desired recruit’ for next season, claims Relevo.
Unlike Mbappé, there is “ a complete certainty that Davies will end up wearing white in 2024.”
Real Madrid are said to have been working on this deal for months, with the Canadian international having rejected several new contract offers with Bayern Munich in order to facilitate this transfer.
This position – unlike that of Mbappé, who signed a new contract with PSG in 2022 – has fueled Los Blancos’ hopes of signing a player at the end of his lease at the Allianz Arena in 2025 and therefore likely to be sold l next summer before he goes free.
Indeed, Relevo affirm that : ” With the footballer and his agent, Nedal Househ, there has been total harmony for months.”
Real Madrid believes it can repeat the operation which allowed it to recruit Toni Kroos in 2014 for only 25 million euros.
