Anthony Elanga has named Marcus Rashford, rather than Cristiano Ronaldo, as the best player he played with at his former club Manchester United.
Although Ronaldo is considered one of the best in the world, Elanga said it was Rashford who had the biggest impact on him as the best player he played with at Old Trafford.
“I learned from Cristiano Ronaldo, arguably the best player in the world, from Bruno Fernandes, from Raphael Varane, from Casemiro. I can review the whole team because they are all world class players, not only on the pitch, but also off the pitch, with their discipline and the way they look after themselves.”Elanga told DailyMail.
“But I have to say that Marcus Rashford is the best player I have played with. He has everything, the speed, the talent, the striking, the finishing, the way he played last season was incredible. Off the field, he is at the top, he helped me a lot during my time there.”
Elanga was just making his first team debut at United when Ronaldo sensationally joined the club in 2021. But the five-time Ballon d’Or winner left Old Trafford just over a year later, while Rashford scored 30 times in all competitions last season. Elanga has since also left the club, joining Nottingham Forest for £15million in July.
