This Sunday, Paris suffered but ended up winning a fourth consecutive success on the Brest pitch.

Full of confidence after beating theAC Milan Wednesday, thus signing a third consecutive victory in all competitions, the Paris Saint Germain was moving on the lawn of the Brest Stadiumauthor of a very good start to the season but who has not won in three matches in the league.

Zaire-Emery shines again

The start of the match was balanced, the Brestois playing their offensive game by launching attacks on Gianluigi Donnarumma’s cage, and the Parisians proceeding in transitions. It was finally the visitors who found the fault just after a quarter of an hour of play. After good work from Bradley Barcola on the left, Warren Zaire-Emery found Bizot’s top corner from 20 meters and scored a magnificent goal, his first of the season. (0-1 16th)

Despite this goal, the Bretons continue to move forward but narrowly miss, leading to further punishment. Launched in depth by Kang-In Lee, Kylian Mbappé achieves his special and deceives Bizot in turn at the near post, his 9th goal of the season (0-2, 28th). Touched but not sunk, the Brestois moved forward and pushed at the end of the first period. Their efforts were ultimately rewarded with a goal of Steve Mounié receiving a cross from Kenny Lala, which allowed them to reduce the gap just before the break (1-2, 43rd).

Brest turns everything around

Galvanized by this goal, Éric Roy’s men attacked the second period with even more intensity and only took seven minutes to find the fault again. This time it is Jérémy Le Douaron who rises higher than everyone and in turn deceives Donnarumma with a header (2-2, 52nd). A second achievement which gives wings to the locals, who continue to attack and create opportunities like Steve Mounié, Pierre Lees-Melou and Le Douaron. For their part, the Parisians try to regain the upper hand in this part with the entrants Vitinha and Ousmane Dembélé, who fail to deceive the Brest defense.

Tense end of match

The turning point of the match comes in the 86th minute. After checking the VAR, Jérôme Brisard awards a penalty to PSG following a foul by Lilian Brassier on Randal Kolo Muani. Tempers flare and Hakimi, Jonas Martin, Brassier and Bizot are warned by Mr. Brisard. Almost pure enough to distract Kylian Mbappé, whose cross penalty is repelled by Bizot, no success for the Dutch goalkeeper who sees the 2018 world champion score after his save. (2-3, 89th) After having upset the Brest public, the Bondynois came out to the whistles of the Stade Francis-Le Blé.

Paris finally won at the end of a match made complicated by the combative Brestois who wanted to play offensively. Fourth victory in a row for Luis Enrique’s men and provisionally regain 2nd place in the ranking, Brest remains 6th for the moment.
