Almost a year after his serious right knee injury at the end of last year, Manuel Neuer could make his comeback this weekend.
Injured since December 2022, after suffering a fractured tibia during a skiing accident, Manuel Neuer (37) is finally preparing to return to service. Present before the media this Friday, Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel explained that the Mannschaft goalkeeper should make his return for the Darmstadt reception this Saturday as part of the 9th day of the Bundesliga.
“If nothing happens in training, he will play tomorrow, said the former PSG coach. He’s looking forward to it, and so are we. Many are probably looking forward to it. This is a special situation. But he has a lot of experience. He is enjoying this moment and can be proud of himself. He must have fun, that’s what will make him strong. Now we hope that he will quickly find his rhythm and that everything will go well”Tuchel said.
As a reminder, after eight days of the championship, the Rotten are in third place in the standings with six wins, two draws and 20 points on the clock. They are two points behind Bayer Leverkusen, and one unit less than their runner-up Stuttgart.
