AC Milan will not be able to count on all its strength for the trip to the Parc des Princes this Wednesday (9 p.m.).
Second in Serie A, AC Milan travels to Paris with the aim of making a big move, in the first of its two rounds against the capital club. This double confrontation is indeed a small turning point for the two clubs. If the French champions manage to win, they will distance themselves from the Italian club. Otherwise, Milan could get back in front of their evening host and put themselves in an ideal position before the second match at San Siro in two weeks.
If Luis Enrique blurs the lines for the Parisian lineup, his counterpart Stefano Pioli will also have to deal with certain absences to put together his starting lineup. A notable last minute package was added to an already well-stocked list of absentees: it is Noah Okafor.
Without being considered a starter for AC Milan, the young 23-year-old striker remains a weapon of choice for Pioli who has often used him as a joker since the start of the season. Powerful and explosive, Okafor was used to creating gaps when he came into play. Victim of a muscular problem, the Swiss will therefore be missing during this gala match.
More generally, Pioli will not have much latitude to do coaching in his offensive sector since Samuel Chukwueze is also out for this match. Olivier Giroud, Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic are expected at kick-off. In the midfield, Roben Loftus-Cheek will also be out.
The expected line-up for Milan: Maignan – Calabria or Kalulu, Tomori, Thiaw, Hernandez – Musah or Pobega, Krunic, Reijnders – Pulisic, Giroud, Leão
