A big altercation took place this week in a Ligue 1 club. A French international defender was involved.

This is information that had the effect of a small bomb on Tuesday evening. The newspaper L’Équipe relayed a very surprising scene. The events allegedly took place in the Montpellier locker room. Mamadou Sakho, MHSC defender since 2021, would have had a heated altercation with his coach Michel Der Zakarian. The situation reportedly escalated before the two men were separated.

Very little used by his trainer, Mamadou Sakho is not coping well with his situation. During the last training session scheduled by Michel Der Zakarian, the former central defender of Paris Saint-Germain would have taken a remark from his coach badly. The two men allegedly came to blows, with Sakho “grabbing” his coach “by the collar” after this incident was not reported during the session.

Dismissal for serious misconduct?

Still according to information from L’Equipe, Mamadou Sakho risks dismissal for serious misconduct. Montpellier management will judge this case in the coming hours. As a reminder, the former French international is under contract with the Hérault club until June 2024. The club did not wish to make any comments.
