Jérôme Rothen promised Fabio Grosso that he will never find the player who revealed the locker room secrets.
Fabio Grosso is boiling! Since Monday evening, and the revelations made by RMC Sport about discomfort within his locker room, the Lyon coach has only one thing on his mind. Find the player who dared to speak in the press and divulge confidential information regarding the life of the group. But he may have to search for a long time. This is what Jérôme Rothen told him.
“Finding the mole is a waste of time”
The former PSG player is the one who revealed to the public the divide between the Rhone coach and his players. And he said that it was one of the members of the first team who confided in him, without revealing the name of course.
🎙 “If you look for the people who are talking, it’s still a football locker room. You’ll never know who spoke. It’s a waste of time.”

Having learned this Tuesday of the fact that Grosso canceled training just to look for the mole, Rothen began to make fun of the Italian coach. “I am very surprised that he decided to look for the famous mole. Because when you start looking for moles rather than finding a solution at the sporting level and having a little clarity… It remains a locker room in football. And when you go into a locker room, you know that things can get out. And you’ll never know who spoke. It’s a waste of time. And you lose too much energy and it’s problematic for OL.”
The former PSG player then concluded by predicting the worst for the Lyon coach: “If this continues with Grosso, I think they are heading straight into the wall. It pains me for the OL players, I have compassion for them. They express their discomfort.”
Rothen is not the only one who thinks this way. Tony Vairelles, another former international, agrees: “It’s always existed. And then, at some point, the players want to express themselves. And if there is discomfort with certain coaches then they confide in the media. His reaction to trying to find the mole really shows that things aren’t right at all…”
