This Sunday, Girona hosted Almeria for the tenth day of La Liga. In the event of victory, the Catalans had the opportunity to come back to the level of Real Madrid. Quickly trailing by two goals, the teammates of Artem Dovbyk, author of a saving double, regained control of the match in six minutes just before the break. Halftime is also the moment that Catalan captain David Lopez chose to denounce certain odious actions of the refereeing body at the microphone of DAZN.

Indeed, according to the 34-year-old player, the referee, Miguel Angel Ortiz Arias, insulted several Girona players: “It’s difficult to work like that, it disrespects you, it insults you. You have to try to forget and be in the game, but the work becomes complicated. I am referring to the referee, the First Division players already know him. This is a more human than professional question. You can say one word rather than another, but not insult. We are all in this together.»
