The clubs returned to the championships this weekend after an international break for the national selections. At Paris Saint-Germain, this Saturday was a sign of preparation before the clash against AC Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. To do so, the Parisians welcomed RC Strasbourg to the Parc des Princes, as part of the 9th day of Ligue 1. A walk in the park (3-0) for PSG who were even able to rest certain executives like the two attackers Ousmane Dembélé and Randal Kolo Muani. If they came into play, the two French internationals did not really know how to add anything, in this match which was certainly already over.

“I think we have to take advantage of Ousmane. He is a unique player in my opinion. I have no problem with him not scoring or being decisive in passing. He generates numerical superiorities, fixes three opposing players and creates space for his teammates. He has no fear of being tackled, of falling, he takes risks. He can miss chances but he has the right attitude. He presses and defends. We must take advantage of him. He will improve, that’s for sure. There will also be days when things go less well, yes. He is vital for us, he is a key player. I have no concerns about him. I’m in love with Ousmane’s game and I don’t see anything wrong with him. »nevertheless quickly defended the Spanish coach, Luis Enrique at a press conference, a few minutes after his team’s success against the Alsatians.

Sterile entries into the game…

Singled out since the start of the season, Ousmane Dembélé is struggling to justify his status within the Parisian squad. At least from an accounting point of view with no goals scored in Parisian colors in 10 matches played with Paris since his departure from FC Barcelona. Last night against the RCSA, the French international tried to bring a little freshness and liveliness but his dribbles and his breakthroughs lacked solidity to really hurt the Alsatian defense. But like Luis Enrique, Dembouz’s teammates are not afraid: “No, I don’t think he (Ousmane Dembélé, editor’s note) was in difficulty, he played a few minutes to preserve it for Tuesday’s match. Today the most important thing is the collective work that we were able to show and the victory which is very important and which temporarily makes us the first in the championship”insisted on defending right back Nordi Mukiele in the mixed zone after the match.

The other big summer offensive recruit, Randal Kolo Muani is also struggling to gain consistency. Entering the game in place of Gonçalo Ramos in the 67th minute, the former Frankfurt striker, recruited for 80 million euros by PSG, touched 14 balls in 23 minutes and lost nearly 11. A fairly ration terrible to which we must add an offside position. It wasn’t a very productive entry for RKM but he can also count on the support of the locker room and Nordi Mukiele: “Listen to Randal, I feel good about him, he just arrived, well it’s been a while now, but he’s good. He is a decisive attacker. He scores and he helps us in several aspects, also depth. I know he’s going to play like he’s doing now and like he’s done before. We all have confidence in him and the club too, otherwise he wouldn’t be here., also continued Mukiele. The message got through.
