Who runs the most and the fastest in Ligue 1?

Sifted through, the Ligue 1 statistics reveal which players have run the most since the start of the season, and which are the fastest elements in the championship.

Certain stats are significant and say a lot about the generosity of a squad and the impact of its coach. The average distance covered in each match by a team is certainly a good indicator in this regard, with RC Lens at the top of our championship and its 122 km covered collectively each day. OL, in need of benchmarks this season, bringing up the rear with 113.4 km on average.

To take pride of place in the elite, the Sang et Or benefit in particular from the contribution of a certain Adrien Thomasson, the man who runs the most in Ligue 1 with an average of 13.77 km covered on each of his outings – including a record peak at 14.08 km against Metz during the 5e lifting. Clermontois Johan Gastien being the only other player in the French championship to appear above the 13 km per match mark (13.31).

The Monegasque Caio Henrique (26.20) and the Toulouse Zakaria Aboukhlal (26.02), both injured, completed the podium in front of a reference in the field, the Parisian Achraf Hakimi (25.88).

The fastest player, however, is none other than Clermontois Andy Pelmard, clocked at 36.14 km/h. It’s a tad more lively than Marseillais Jonathan Clauss and his 36.11 km/h. Three players are on the third step of the top speed podium: Nantes’ Moses Simon, Monegasque Folarin Balogun and Marseillais Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (35.97 km/h).
