PSG, Luis Enrique reframed by his management

The PSG coach was slapped on the wrist by his managers because of his communication with the media.

In just three months in his new role as PSG coach, Luis Enrique has managed to get angry with several media outlets. His aggressive side and his propensity to give only the minimum to journalists meant that a bad climate was established with his interlocutors. And all without ever speaking out about the faults of his team. A situation which did not escape the club’s management.

Luis Enrique will have to speak out more

During the international break, PSG worked on the issue. In fact, the Spanish coach was asked to be a little more engaged with those who come to question him after the matches. The scene where he makes fun of the Free journalist after the victory in Rennes (3-1) was poorly received internally. We now want to do everything to avoid it in the future.

Among the resolutions that were taken, there is the setting up of meetings with the press in the middle of the week when the calendar allows. We will no longer be satisfied with pre- or post-match slots to welcome people to Poissy. The Asturian technician will then be invited to push himself and explain the game.

It is not sure that Luis Enrique will do it because he does not like the exercise at all. Unless it’s just a simple posture. L’Equipe suggests that the former La Roja coach diverts the attention to himself so that there is less pressure on his players. And he would have always acted like this wherever he went.

This Friday, at 1 p.m., Luis Enrique must appear for the press briefing preceding the PSG match against Strasbourg. We will then know whether or not he agreed to round his nails and improve his image in public.
