Laid off on October 10 for alleged racist comments, Bernard Casoni will indeed be dismissed by US Orléans.
The USO and Bernard Casoni are over. The lawyer for the former French international, Me Dider Lacombe, announced this Wednesday that his client was summoned for an interview prior to dismissal.
The date of October 25 was chosen by US Orléans to initiate this obligatory passage of the dismissal procedure – the consequence of damning comments initially relayed by France Bleu.
Bernard Casoni is also the target of a preliminary investigation by the Orléans public prosecutor’s office for provoking hatred or racial discrimination and for public insults of a racist nature.
The disciplinary committee of the French Football Federation (FFF), which has also taken up the matter, could also impose several months of suspension on him. The person concerned for his part filed a complaint against X for slanderous denunciation.
