Reinforced by French international Amandine Henry for the end of the regular season, Angel City FC made a huge comeback to snatch their place in the playoffs last weekend.
Amandine Henry’s adventure in Los Angeles is so far idyllic. When the French international, 34, signed last June, Angel City FC was 10th out of 12 in the United States women’s championship standings. Four months later, the Californian players snatched their ticket to the playoffs by winning their last match of the regular season. There remontada is fantastic.

With Henry playing the entire game, Angel City won 5-1 at home against Portland (already directly qualified for the semi-finals of the competition), to move from 8th to 5th place. . Former American international Sydney Leroux scored her team’s 4th goal and provided an assist.
The LA team challenges OL Reign, the club owned by Les Gones, Friday evening in Seattle, in the quarter-finals of the playoffs. The winner of this meeting will face the San Diego Wave FC, who finished at the top of the regular season standings, in a single match, in San Diego.
