Kylian Mbappé was not introduced to the media as captain of the France team before the friendly match against Scotland.

Both nations have already clinched their place for Euro 2024 next summer and a celebratory atmosphere is expected at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille.

Kylian Mbappé is expected to lead the French team for this match, despite previous rumors that he could be rested, but his position at the press conference remains unchanged.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker has not appeared as a selected player for media questions since June, following an avalanche of questions about his club future in Paris.

Didier Deschamps accepted the player’s stance on the matter, with vice-captain Antoine Griezmann since taking on the bulk of the off-field role.

Mbappé remains heavily linked with a free transfer to Real Madrid in 2024, but the Ligue 1 champions are reportedly preparing a final contract extension offer to try to keep him at the Parc des Princes until 2025.
