Benzema, a nasty trick played at Real Madrid?

After ending his incredible adventure at Real Madrid last June to sign in Saudi Arabia, Karim Benzema will soon return to the Bernabéu for a jubilee.

Still under contract until 2024 with Real Madrid, Karim Benzema decided, last June, to fly to Saudi Arabia, putting an end to a legendary career at Casa Blanca. “KB9” played 14 seasons with the Merengues, scoring 354 goals in 648 matches, winning the Champions League five times and La Liga three times. Benzema will soon return to Santiago-Bernabéu to reunite with his former supporters, since Real Madrid plans to organize a gala match against Al-Ittihad to pay tribute to the former French international. The two clubs have two years to organize this meeting in the Spanish capital, the 35-year-old having signed until 2026 with the Jeddah team.

Benzema has scored three goals in 4 matches during the Arab Champion Clubs’ Cup and has 3 goals in 7 outings in the Saudi Pro League. Al-Ittihad, reigning Saudi champion, led by midfielder N’Golo Kanté-Fabinho, is 4th in the ranking.
